I work with young children and families who are facing challenges with anxiety, self-esteem, disruptive behaviors, emotional outbursts, life changes and trauma. I utilize a combination of play and talk therapy to empower young children and families to reach their unique goals.
After earning my Master’s Degree in Social Work at Western Michigan University in 2018, I began my professional journey as a behavioral specialist providing support to elementary students with various social, emotional and behavioral needs. I also have several years of experience conducting clinical trauma assessments in various settings, which has deepened my understanding of the unique relational needs of children who have experienced developmental and complex trauma.
I ground my practice in evidence-based therapeutic methods such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy) to not only address immediate emotional and behavioral concerns, but also equip children and their families with the tools they need for long-term success.
I believe that connection and trust are key components of healing. I provide a safe, supportive environment where children can openly explore their feelings, develop healthy coping skills, and build lifelong resilience. My client-centered approach will ensure that you feel supported every step of the way. I look forward to beginning this healing journey together!
